"Elephant Ears", "Taro" - These wonderful plants add a touch of the tropics to landscapes and patios with their huge heart or spade-shaped leaves that are dramatically colored and veined. They come in all shapes and sizes with uses that range from indoor houseplants to hardy landscape specimens and pond plants. Most hale from tropical areas and need warmth and humidity, plenty of moisture, good drainage and partial shade. All produce tubers or rhizomes underground. From tissue culture (except Alocasia ordora.)
